The V.League 2024-2025 Organizing Committee has just announced the official statistics at the end of the season, confirming that the two players who won the Golden Boot award, Alan Sebastiao Alexandre (Hanoi Police) and Lucao (Hai Phong), both scored 14 goals.
Previously, striker Nguyen Tien Linh (Binh Duong) was said to have the same number of goals as Alan and Lucao, after scoring another goal in round 26 to help the home team beat Thanh Hoa 1-0.
However, after reviewing professional data, the organizing committee determined that a goal by Tien Linh in round 25 was not recognized.
Accordingly, the ball in the 90+3 minute of the match between Binh Duong and Hai Phong in round 25 was determined to be an own goal by defender Bui Tien Dung of Hai Phong, not a goal by Tien Linh as initially reported.
Therefore, Tien Linh's number of goals was adjusted from 14 to 13, making him no longer in the leading group in the scoring list. However, Tien Linh is still the domestic player who scored the most goals of the season and received the title of Top Scorer of the V.League 2024-2025.
The award ceremony for the Top Scorer and individual categories will be held at V.League Awards 2024-2025, taking place at 3:30 p.m. on July 1, 2025 in Hanoi.
