Stage one of the SEA V.League 2026 will take place in Dong Anh
According to the latest information provided by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, we are changing the venue for the first leg of the SEA V.League 2026 tournament.
In the initial planned, the Ninh Binh Provincial Sports and Physical Training Center was selected to organize the first leg of the above tournament.
However, in a document notifying the Vietnam Volleyball Federation recently, the Ninh Binh Provincial Sports and Physical Training Center requested to withdraw from hosting the first leg of the SEA V.League 2025.
Instead, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation decided to choose Dong Anh Sports Complex (Hanoi) as the venue.
The competition time remains unchanged, from July 31 to August 2.
The Southeast Asian Volleyball Federation has agreed to the above change of the host Vietnam.
The second leg of the SEA V.League 2026 will take place in Nakhon Ratchasima (Thailand) from August 7 to September 8.
The 2026 SEA V.League women's division will have 4 participating teams including Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, and Indonesia.
Coach Dinh Van Dai does not focus on the Vietnamese women's team
Coach Dinh Van Dai is participating in the coaching staff of the Vietnam U18 Women's Volleyball Team participating in the 2026 AFC U18 Championship in Thailand.
Head coach of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Kiet, has planned to continue to add Mr. Dinh Van Dai to the list of supplementary training to perform national duties in July.
However, coach Dinh Van Dai was assigned by the managing unit to be the head coach of Hoa Chat Duc Giang youth team competing in the 2026 National Youth Club Championship in Ninh Binh from July 17 to July 28.
Therefore, coach Dinh Van Dai did not participate in the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team after finishing work with the Vietnam U18 Women's Volleyball Team.
The coaching staff of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has just added a list of 2 coaches (Vu Thi Hoa, Ta Duc Hieu) to work as specialists from July.
Middle blocker Phuong Quynh wholeheartedly joins the Vietnamese Women's Team
Nguyen Phuong Quynh is expected to be registered by Vietinbank's youth women's team to compete in the 2026 National Youth Club Championship in Ninh Binh.
However, she was trained by the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team in the list of 14 additional players to perform national duties.
Therefore, Vietinbank's young women's team withdrew Phuong Quynh's registration to participate in the tournament in Ninh Binh, helping the player concentrate full-time on the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team.
Phuong Quynh is one of the young middle blockers who has developed professionally well in Vietnamese women's volleyball.
The hitter used to be a member of the Vietnam U20 Women's Team. Last year, Phuong Quynh participated in the 2025 FIFA U21 Women's World Championship in Indonesia.
