After 4 days of competition, the group stage matches of the VTV Cup 2025 International Women's Volleyball Tournament have ended. The Vietnam women's volleyball team is in great strength with a series of three consecutive wins with a score of 3-0. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team entered the quarter-finals as the top team in Group A.
Meanwhile, the U21 Vietnam team suffered three losses to opponents who were superior in both age and class. Coach Nguyen Trong Linh and his team entered the quarter-finals as the fourth place of Group B.
The above ranking has put the Vietnam women's volleyball team up against U21 Vietnam in the quarter-finals of the VTV Cup 2025. This is the most anticipated match in this round when the two representatives of Vietnamese women's volleyball will have the opportunity to compete with each other.
With the Vietnam women's volleyball team, the experienced and in-form players not only won the top spot in the group but also proved their stability in playing style and squad depth.
Although they constantly rotate their squads, the main attackers such as Thanh Thuy, Bich Tuyen or many young faces such as Bich Thuy, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh all leave a clear impression when on the field.

On the other side, U21 Vietnam has shown their youth and competitive spirit in the group stage matches. Despite their very young age, the students of coach Nguyen Trong Linh showed their great courage.
Against opponents who are highly appreciated and outstanding such as Korabelka (Russia), Dang Thi Hong still plays a rich, cohesive and bold style of play.
Captain Dang Thi Hong is the brightest spot in the squad as the 2006-born hitter is having a very impressive scoring performance and improving her defensive ability every day.

The match between the two teams is not only a quarter-final match of a tournament, but also a rare opportunity for two generations of Vietnamese women's volleyball players to compete and test their abilities.
For the national team, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet will certainly continue to give the players more opportunities to play. But the team's goal is still to win to reach the semi-finals.
As for U21 Vietnam, this is a golden opportunity for them to learn and show their mettle against their seniors. Each point, each smash in this match will be a testament to the development of the two most talented generations that Vietnamese women's volleyball is currently having.
The match between the Vietnam women's volleyball team and the Vietnam U21 team will take place at 7:30 p.m. on July 3.
