Lai Chau - Traffic flow on National Highway 4D and Provincial Road 131 due to heavy rain caused landslides, posing a potential risk of road breaks and traffic insecurity.

According to information from Lai Chau Department of Construction, recent prolonged heavy rains have caused landslides at Km76+690/National Highway 4D (the route from Lai Chau to Lao Cai) in Chu Va 12 village, Son Binh commune, Tam Duong district.

The above location was affected by landslides on both the positive and negative slopes, at risk of road closures, directly threatening the safety of people and vehicles.

To ensure traffic safety on the route during the construction period and to overcome the landslide location, the Department of Construction announced a ban on trucks with 3 axles or more and passenger cars with more than 29 seats traveling through Km76+690/National Highway 4D.
