On the same morning, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team left Ho Chi Minh City to head to Indonesia. From early morning, the team members gathered at Tan Son Nhat airport to complete exit procedures. The flight departed at 10:30 am and landed at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in the early afternoon, after more than 2:30 minutes of flight.
After completing entry procedures and receiving luggage, the Vietnamese futsal team was arranged by the Organizing Committee to be taken by bus to Le Meridien Hotel - the official accommodation of the team throughout the final round. Although traffic in Jakarta was crowded, the travel journey was smooth, helping the whole team return to the hotel on schedule in the middle of the afternoon.
At the base, the players quickly had a light meal before resting to recover their fitness. According to records, Le Meridien Hotel is also the accommodation of many teams participating in the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship finals such as Lebanon, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan or Iraq. Living conditions and facilities here are assessed to be guaranteed, meeting well the training and recovery requirements of the teams.
In the late afternoon of the same day, the Vietnamese futsal team had their first training session in Jakarta. This is a relaxing training session, helping players relieve fatigue after a long journey. The coaching staff said that the health condition of the whole team is currently stable, no injuries or overloads have been recorded.
