This year's tournament will take place from February 24 to March 2, 2026 in Nakhon Ratchasima province (Thailand). This is an important tournament in the international competition plan of the Vietnamese women's futsal team in 2026.
According to the draw results, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang's team is in Group B with opponents Myanmar, Philippines and Australia. Group A includes host Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Assessing the situation of the group stage, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said that playing in a group with four teams will create more challenges due to the more matches compared to Group A.
This coach commented: "Myanmar and the Philippines are opponents that the team has met at the SEA Games and they have both made clear progress. Meanwhile, Australia is a strong team, promising to bring many difficulties for us.
In this training camp, the coaching staff gave opportunities to some new faces who had just played impressively at the 2026 National Women's Futsal Championship.
According to coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang, these are players who meet professional requirements, helping to increase the depth of the force in positions that are still lacking.
He emphasized that new players need to maintain a positive spirit, highly focused in training to soon integrate into the overall playing style of the whole team.
Regarding the goal at the tournament, the head coach of the Vietnamese women's futsal team affirmed that the whole team will strive to compete with the highest determination, in the immediate future, to overcome the group stage, thereby aiming to achieve the highest ranking at the tournament.
