The training session takes place at 6:00 PM on January 24th at the Nigerian University Jakarta Stadium. This is a training location arranged by the Organizing Committee, nearly an hour away from the hotel where the Vietnamese futsal team is stationed in convenient traffic conditions. According to the plan, the team will train for about 80 minutes.
Because they just had a trip lasting more than 10 hours, the content of the training session was mainly for recovery. The players performed relaxation exercises, regaining the feeling of the ball to bring their bodies back to a balanced state.
In addition, coach Diego Giustozzi instructed his players to practice some attacking and finishing situations and review important tactical exercises, including the power-play option.
Assessing the first training session in Jakarta, coach Diego Giustozzi said that he actively adjusted the exercise volume to suit the overall fitness of the team.
The training session took place quite gently because the players had just gone through a long journey. I want them to exercise moderately to recover and consolidate some necessary professional content," the Argentine coach shared.
Coach Diego Giustozzi also expressed satisfaction with the organization of the tournament as well as the preparation for the Vietnamese futsal team.
He said he has participated in many Asian futsal finals in Kuwait, Thailand and now Indonesia, and highly appreciated the support from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) as well as the Vietnam Football Federation in the preparation process.
Speaking about the current force, coach Diego Giustozzi said that although the squad has many young faces, they have been well prepared. “We have been preparing for quite a long time.
The two friendly matches with Afghanistan recently were very useful, helping the coaching staff better assess the force. The team has 8 players participating in the Asian Futsal Championship finals for the first time, this is a young team but full of potential and I believe they will perform well," he emphasized.
According to the plan, the Vietnamese futsal team will have the 2nd training session at 5:00 PM on January 25 at the official gymnasium of the tournament, to get acquainted with the pitch and playing time before the opening match at the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship finals.
