Vietnam women's team wins second practice match in Japan

On the afternoon of June 13, the Vietnam women's team won 3-1 against the women's football team of Tezukayama Gakuin University (Japan).

In this second match, coach Mai Duc Chung tested the squad of young players, including goalkeeper Khong Thi Hang, defenders including Diem My, Hoang Thi Loan, Kim Yen, Tran Thi Duyen and My Anh. The midfielders are Tuyet Dung, Nam Mi, Vu Thi Hoa and Ngoc Minh Chuyen, in the top line is Tuyet Ngan.

The opponent of the Tezukayama Gakuin University football team with players with the same physique and technique showed a close play that forced the Vietnamese female players to concentrate to the maximum. In the 35th minute, the opposing team scored an opening goal to score 1-0.

In the second half, coach Mai Duc Chung replaced 7 players, including Thu Thuong, Thai Thi Thao, Duong Thi Van, Nguyen Thi Van, Huynh Nhu, Ngan Thi Van Su, Nguyen Thi Hoa, Bich Thuy to replace Kim Yen, Nam Mi, Tuyet Dung, Ngoc Minh Chuyen, Tuyet Ngan, My Anh, Tran Thi Duyen and Vu Thi Hoa.

In the 53rd minute, from a combination situation, Huynh Nhu scored to level the score at 1-1 for the red shirt team. Not stopping there, 12 minutes later, Huynh Nhu continued to score a double with the next goal, raising the score to 2-1.

From the 75th minute, Chuong Thi Kieu, Tran Thi Thu, Hai Yen and Thanh Thao took over for Diem My and Hoang Thi Loan, Nguyen Thi Van and Ngan Thi Van Su. With the force added to the entire line, the Vietnam women's team scored another goal, thanks to Nguyen Thi Hoa in the 80th minute. This was also the final result, sealing a 3-1 victory for coach Mai Duc Chung and his team.

On June 15, the Vietnam women's team continued to play the final friendly match against the Osaka University of Sports Sciences and Health in the framework of a training trip in Japan, preparing for the 2025 Asian Women's Championship qualifiers.
