After nearly 1 month of stationing at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, coach Mai Duc Chung and the players have completed their physical and tactical problems. Entering the new phase, the Vietnam women's team focuses on friendly matches to complete the squad and test replacement personnel.
On June 5, coach Mai Duc Chung also announced the list of 26 athletes who will train in Japan. Accordingly, 4 players returned to their localities including Tran Thi Trang (Ha Nam), Luu Nhu Quynh (Thai Nguyen), Cu Thi Huynh Nhu (HCMC) and Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha (Hanoi).

Evaluating the students, coach Mai Duc Chung said that the Vietnamese women's team had a month of active training with good results, including 5 friendly matches.
In the friendly match with Werder Bremen club, the Vietnam women's team only had one week to prepare, but in the following practice matches with the men's teams from Vinh Yen, Son Tay and Bac Ninh, the female players learned a lot of experience and useful lessons.
"After a month, the team's training spirit and physical problems have increased a lot. We have stabilized the squad for the upcoming training session in Japan, said coach Mai Duc Chung.
The Vietnam women's team continues to be rejuvenated with many young players called up to the national team. We have been doing this well since the 32nd SEA Games before, so now we have a good rejuvenation squad as many athletes are also getting older.
Without young athletes, our achievements are at risk of being behind. Our goal is still to train young players to get used to the way of practicing life and competing in big teams, then gradually get used to the competition," coach Mai Duc Chung shared.
When asked about the new factor Nam Mi, coach Mai Duc Chung said that the Vietnam women's team really needs overseas Vietnamese players. However, the coaching staff also needs more time for Nam Mi to evaluate further.
"We have Nam Mi who is eligible to join the national team. I hope that there will be more overseas Vietnamese players, contributing to the national team. Nam Mi has only been training in the national team for 2 weeks, but I highly appreciate the training and competitive spirit of this player," coach Mai Duc Chung added.

According to the plan, the Vietnam women's team will go to Japan for training in the early morning of June 8. Sharing about the training session's goals, coach Mai Duc Chung said that the women's team has had many training sessions in Japan.
He said: The Vietnamese women's team has won the SEA Games 8 times and the Southeast Asian Women's Championship 3 times. Those proud achievements are the result of fruitful training abroad, including Japan, a country with developed football skills in Asia.
Japan has many good clubs and players for us to learn from. These training trips help athletes open up knowledge and learn a lot from Japanese women's football. Therefore, it can be said that training Japan is the best way to directly train Vietnamese female players".
