On the evening of December 26, the Vietnamese team won 2-0 on Singapore's field in the first leg of the ASEAN Cup 2024 semi-final. Coach Kim Sang-sik's students had a difficult match and could only score 2 goals in the final minutes of extra time thanks to Nguyen Tien Linh and Nguyen Xuan Son.
After this match, the Vietnamese team will stay in Singapore for one night (December 26) before returning home. According to the plan, all 46 members of the Vietnamese team will be divided into 2 groups to return home today (December 27), each group consisting of 23 members.
Group 1 will land at Noi Bai airport (Hanoi city) at 15:50. Group 2 will land at 17:25.
After arriving at Noi Bai airport, each group will immediately move to Viet Tri city (Phu Tho province) to prepare for the second leg of the semi-final.
The second leg of the ASEAN Cup 2024 semi-final between Vietnam and Singapore will take place at 8:00 p.m. on December 29.
In this match, the Vietnamese team will not have the service of striker Nguyen Van Toan due to a knee ligament injury. However, coach Kim Sangs-sik still has many other quality strikers in the squad such as Tien Linh, Xuan Son or Dinh Thanh Binh.
