Phuoc Long Bridge
On December 18, the main items of Phuoc Long Bridge on Pham Huu Lau Street (connecting District 7 and Nha Be District) were basically completed. Currently, the contractor is focusing on completing the bridge deck and two approach roads, to ensure the progress of opening to traffic before Lunar New Year 2025.
According to the Management Board of Investment and Construction of Traffic Works in Ho Chi Minh City (investor), the Phuoc Long bridge project has completed more than 90% of the work volume.
When put into use, Phuoc Long bridge will reduce traffic load for Phu Xuan 2 bridge on Huynh Tan Phat street and contribute to improving traffic infrastructure in the South of Ho Chi Minh City.
Phuoc Long Bridge crosses Phu Xuan canal, is 359m long, 10.5m wide, including the approach roads at both ends.
Initially, the project was implemented in the 2016 - 2019 period with a budget of nearly 400 billion VND, but then the progress was delayed, causing the total investment to increase to 748 billion VND.
Tang Long Bridge
At the Tang Long Bridge construction site (Thu Duc City), workers are working day and night to complete the left bridge branch before Lunar New Year 2025.
Currently, the left branch of the bridge has completed the installation of bridge girders, and workers are pouring concrete for the bridge deck. Many other items are also being deployed such as the drainage system, technical trenches, bridge approach roads, etc.
After the left branch is completed, the contractor will continue to build the right branch of the bridge, with the goal of completing the entire project by December 2025.
Tang Long Bridge is located on La Xuan Oai Street, started construction in 2017 with a total investment of 450 billion VND. The project's slow progress has caused the total investment capital to increase to more than 688 billion VND.
When completed, Tang Long Bridge will enhance traffic connections on La Xuan Oai Street and meet transportation needs from Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park to Rach Chiec River.
Tan Ky - Tan Quy Bridge
The Tan Ky - Tan Quy bridge project across Tham Luong canal in Binh Tan district is also being accelerated to open to traffic before Lunar New Year 2025. To date, the main bridge has completed more than 80% of the volume, and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge are under construction.
This project was restarted in June 2024 after 6 years of stagnation due to problems in site clearance and investment method conversion. The project has a total length of 385m, including an 83m long bridge with 4 lanes, sidewalks and access roads at both ends.
When completed, Tan Ky - Tan Quy bridge will help reduce traffic congestion on the road connecting the three districts of Binh Tan, Tan Binh and Tan Phu with the center of Ho Chi Minh City; at the same time, the bridge will also be synchronized with the expansion of Tan Ky - Tan Quy road, contributing to eliminating the "bottleneck" in this area.
Ba Hom Bridge
The Ba Hom Bridge project on Provincial Road 10 (Binh Tan District) has now reached 80% of its volume. The contractor is focusing on completing the main bridge items, expanding the approach road and sidewalk, ensuring traffic opening before Lunar New Year 2025.
Ba Hom Bridge spans Tham Luong - Ben Cat - Nuoc Len canals with a total investment of 374 billion VND. The project was stalled due to delays in compensation and site clearance, but resumed construction after the entire site was handed over in October 2023.
When completed, Ba Hom Bridge will reduce traffic pressure for the western area of the city, creating more favorable conditions for people to travel between Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces.
