On April 1st, the first matches of the final round of the National U15 Championship - Modern Cup 2026 took place at Thanh Long Sports Center (HCMC) with a series of matches in Groups B and C. U15 Hanoi I made a strong impression when winning big against Becamex HCMC on the opening day.
In the match considered the focus between two traditional youth training centers, U15 Hanoi I showed superiority right from the first minutes. In another notable match, U15 PVF drew with U15 The Cong Viettel I with a score of 2-2 after an exciting chase. The Cong Viettel I opened the score in the 5th minute thanks to Tien Huy's goal. In the second half, PVF played brightly and scored two consecutive goals to take a 2-1 lead, including an equalizer by Manh Duy.
However, the turning point of the match came in the 56th minute when PVF captain Trung Hieu had to leave the field due to receiving a second yellow card. Taking advantage of the numerical advantage, The Cong Viettel I scored an equalizer in the 81st minute by Hoang Minh, thereby sealing a 2-2 draw.
In Group B, U15 Quang Nam won a minimal 1-0 victory over U15 Can Tho. Meanwhile, in Group C, U15 Da Nang defeated U15 Dak Lak with a score of 4-1 to temporarily rank second in the group, after Hanoi I due to inferior goal difference.
According to the plan, the opening ceremony of the final round will take place on the afternoon of April 2, along with the next two matches of Group A between U15 Ho Chi Minh City vs U15 Tay Ninh and U15 Song Lam Nghe An I vs U15 Ninh Binh.
