According to the plan of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the whole team moved along the route Ho Chi Minh City - Jakarta - Medan. The delegation of 36 members completed entry and exit procedures, connecting flights and receiving luggage on schedule.
Despite having to go through a long journey, the players still ensure stable physical condition and maintain a comfortable spirit before entering the tournament. After arriving in Medan, coach Yutaka Ikeuchi and his team quickly moved to the hotel to rest and prepare for the first training sessions in Indonesia.
The appearance of U19 Vietnam also received great attention from the host country's media. Many Indonesian reporters were present at Medan airport to film and report on coach Yutaka Ikeuchi's team. This is considered a signal showing the attractiveness of this year's tournament, especially for teams that are assessed as capable of competing in Group A.
The 2026 U19 Southeast Asian Championship takes place from June 1st to 14th in Indonesia. This is an important tournament for U19 Vietnam in the process of preparing for the 2027 AFC U20 Championship qualifiers.
According to the schedule, U19 Vietnam will meet U19 Timor-Leste on June 1st, Myanmar on June 4th and host Indonesia on June 7th.
