On the evening of May 28, Mr. Nhu Van Hoc - Chairman of Gia Hiep Commune People's Committee (Lam Dong) - said that after many hours of searching, functional forces found the body of the female student who had an accident at Phu Xuan waterfall.
Previously, at noon on the same day, a group of high school students in Gia Hiep commune came to the Phu Xuan waterfall area (hamlet 1, Gia Hiep commune) to play.
At about 3 pm, while playing near the waterfall area, H.T. B. M (16 years old, 10th grade student, residing in Gia Hiep commune) unfortunately slipped and fell into a ravine about 8 meters deep.
Upon receiving the news, Gia Hiep Commune People's Committee mobilized the Commune Police force, the Commune Military Command in coordination with the Fire and Rescue Police force of Lam Dong Provincial Police to deploy search and rescue work.
Due to the deep and steep area, with many large rocks, rescue forces had to use cables and specialized vehicles to access the scene.
At about 6:30 pm on the same day, functional forces found the victim's body and brought it out of the deep abyss.
Functional agencies are completing dossiers and procedures to hand over the victim's body to the family for funeral arrangements.
