According to the plan of the coaching staff, coach Kim Sang-sik proactively adjusted the lesson plan to ensure balance in physical strength and playing status for the whole team.
The players were divided into two groups with different exercise volumes. The group that played for more than 60 minutes in the match against U23 Jordan mainly performed recovery exercises, helping the body quickly regenerate energy. Meanwhile, the remaining group maintained a higher training intensity, combining physical training and perfecting tactical pieces.
Sharing before the training session, midfielder Nguyen Thai Son frankly acknowledged his personal performance in the recent match. The player born in 2003 said that he was not completely satisfied and needed to improve his concentration at certain times.

I still have situations that are not handled well, even sometimes a bit subjective. I will try to adjust to play better in the upcoming matches," Thai Son said.
Referring to the role of the midfield when facing teams with superior physique and fitness in the continental arena, Thai Son said that the coaching staff has made very specific requirements.
Accordingly, midfielders need to play fast, handle neatly and prioritize forward. "If we keep the pace slow against tall, strong opponents, we will find it very difficult to control the game," he analyzed.
Compared to regional tournaments such as SEA Games, the midfielder of U23 Vietnam admitted that the level of competition at the AFC U23 Championship finals is much harsher.
The opponents are not only superior in physique and fitness but also possess high speed and intensity of competition. “That forces the whole team to strive with more than 100% of their ability in each match,” Thai Son emphasized.

Before the match against U23 Kyrgyzstan, U23 Vietnam determined that the victory in the opening match was only to encourage morale, not a stopping point.
The whole team maintains high concentration, aiming for the goal of continuing to show proactive play and achieving positive results in the coming journey.
