At the press conference, Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan - Chief of Office, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security - informed about the work of ensuring security and order to serve the 14th Party Congress.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security affirmed that the 14th Congress is a particularly important political event of the Party, State and people. Therefore, the task of ensuring security and safety to serve the successful organization of the Congress is identified as the highest requirement.
The Ministry of Public Security also identified this as one of the key and most important tasks of the Public Security force in the first months of 2026.
The consistent goal thoroughly grasped by the Ministry of Public Security is to ensure absolute security and safety for the Congress and related activities. Implement strict measures to minimize the impact on the normal life of people and general activities of society.
According to Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan, to achieve this goal, the Ministry of Public Security has advised the Prime Minister to issue the Government's plan on ensuring security and order at the 14th National Congress from May 2025, assigning tasks to ministries, branches, and localities to mobilize overall resources and measures to perform tasks.
Based on the direction of the Central Government, the Central Steering Committee, the Party Congress Subcommittees and the Government's plan, the Minister of Public Security directed the establishment of the Ministry of Public Security's Security and Order Subcommittee, directly headed by a Deputy Minister, with the participation of Public Security forces nationwide.
Security and order assurance work is deployed nationwide, focusing on Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and locations where activities and events of the Congress take place, accommodation and activities of delegates.
The Ministry of Public Security also directs the police of units and localities to develop and complete plans to ensure security and order; proactively forecast and handle arising situations; be ready in terms of forces, means, measures and organize drills to ensure proactiveness in all situations.
The police force focuses highly on grasping the situation, proactively preventing and combating activities that take advantage of the Congress to sabotage; promptly detecting and strictly handling acts of spreading bad, toxic, distorted, and false information related to the Congress.
The Ministry of Public Security also deploys peak periods of attacking and suppressing crime; ensuring traffic order and safety; preventing and combating fires and explosions and strictly managing security and order. These peak periods are deployed throughout the Congress and last through the Lunar New Year.
The coordination and coordination between the Police force and the Army, ministries, branches, localities, sub-committees organizing the Congress and functional forces of countries are also being closely implemented to ensure the highest proactiveness for ensuring security and order.
According to Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan, up to now, the security and order environment serving the 14th Congress has been basically ensured. The Police force continues to focus highly on implementing plans and schemes according to the direction of the Ministry's leaders and the Central Steering Committees and Subcommittees.
It is expected that on the morning of January 10, the Ministry of Public Security will organize a launching ceremony and drills to ensure security and order at My Dinh National Stadium.
