On January 8, the Organizing Committee of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee said that it had issued an appraisal opinion on the Project on introducing personnel to run for delegates to the People's Council of Bo Ngoong commune, term 2026-2031.
The Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee basically agreed on the project, in which the total number of Commune People's Council delegates elected according to regulations is 26 people; the number of people introduced for candidacy is 46 people; the proportion of ethnic minorities, female delegates, non-Party members, young people and re-elected delegates is ensured according to current regulations.
However, the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee requested the Standing Committee of the Bo Ngoong Commune Party Committee not to introduce candidates for the Bo Ngoong Commune People's Council and not to introduce re-election to the position of Chairman of the Bo Ngoong Commune People's Council for the term 2026-2031 for Mr. Phan Tat Phuong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Bo Ngoong Commune People's Council.
Previously, Mr. Phuong was disciplined with a reprimand for violating regulations on fostering and updating knowledge and skills.
Mr. Phan Tat Phuong was identified as lacking exemplary behavior, not fully complying with the time to attend the training class to update knowledge and skills for commune-level leaders and managers according to the requirements of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics on training to update knowledge and skills for commune, ward, and special zone-level leaders and managers.
At the same time, violating the Working Regulations of the Party Committee Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee (where they are working) and the Regulations of the Politburo on the regime of fostering and updating knowledge and skills for leaders and managers at all levels.
Mr. Phuong's violations have caused bad public opinion, affecting the reputation of himself and the agency, organization, and locality where he is living and working.
As Lao Dong Newspaper has reported, on August 29, 2025, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics organized a training class to update knowledge and skills for leaders and managers of communes, wards, and special zones.
The class takes place from September 6 to 8, 2025 in direct and online form with all commune, ward, and special zone locations across the country. Participants include Secretary, Deputy Secretary; Chairman, Vice Chairman of the People's Council; Chairman, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, and leaders of some commune-level agencies and units.
However, Mr. Phan Tat Phuong is suspected of not participating in this training class but participating in the "Pickleball Dance of Love U90+" tournament held on September 7 at a sports field in Chu Se commune (Gia Lai).
