On the afternoon of January 17, Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc said that he had directly contacted Chairman of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Quoc Tuan to announce the reward of 1 billion VND for U23 Vietnam to recognize the efforts and fighting spirit of the whole team against U23 UAE in Saudi Arabia.
In addition, Bau Duc also committed to reward an additional 2 billion VND if coach Kim Sang-sik's team wins the semi-final match, scheduled to take place on January 20.
In addition to the bonus for the team, Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc also decided to separately reward 5 players who grew up from Hoang Anh Gia Lai JMG Academy or who are playing for Hoang Anh Gia Lai club in the V.League. The players include goalkeeper Trung Kien, defenders Nhat Minh, Ly Duc, midfielder Quoc Cuong and striker Quoc Viet.

Accordingly, each player mentioned above will be rewarded 50 million VND for the victory against U23 UAE. In case U23 Vietnam draws in 90 minutes in the semi-finals, each player will receive a bonus of 100 million VND. If the team wins, the bonus for each player will increase to 200 million VND.
According to shares from Hoang Anh Gia Lai, the above bonus decision stemmed from the fact that goalkeeper Trung Kien called Vietnam to thank his teachers, those who contributed to training him in his career journey. This moved Bau Duc and decided to encourage not only the players related to Hoang Anh Gia Lai but also the entire U23 Vietnam team.
U23 Vietnam's opponent in the semi-finals will be determined after the remaining quarter-final match between U23 Uzbekistan and U23 China, taking place on the evening of January 17.
