After many years of struggling with injuries, former world No. 3 player Milos Raonic has officially said goodbye to professional tennis at the age of 35.

Milos Raonic confirmed his retirement decision through a social media post, closing his top-notch career lasting more than a decade.

In his farewell message, the Canadian player sent his gratitude to his family, coaching staff, colleagues and opponents who have accompanied him throughout the journey.

What comes must come, I will retire. This is a moment that everyone knows will happen, but you are never really ready for it. Tennis is my love and also my obsession for most of my life," Raonic shared.

Raonic has not played since mid-2024. His last appearance on the ATP Tour was at the Queen's Club Championships, where this tennis player set a record with 47 direct serves in a victory over Cameron Norrie in the first round. However, he stopped in the next round after losing to Taylor Fritz after two sets.

Six weeks later, Raonic participated in the Paris 2024 Olympics but was eliminated in the first round against Dominic Koepfer after three tie-breaks. This is also considered the last match in the professional tennis career of the player born in 1990.

Prolonged injuries, especially an shoulder injury, prevent Raonic from playing for the rest of the 2024 season. Although he had considered the possibility of returning in the 2025 football season, his recovery process did not meet expectations and he continued to be absent from tournaments.

In his career, Milos Raonic is considered one of the best serve players of the Open Era, alongside John Isner, Ivo Karlovic or Kevin Anderson.

He reached the final of Wimbledon 2016, defeated Roger Federer in the semi-finals but could not overcome Andy Murray in the championship match.

Raonic has reached at least the quarter-finals of 10 Grand Slam tournaments, achieving a record of 92 wins and 37 losses in major tournaments, and also rising to No. 3 in the world - the highest ranking in his career.

The Canadian player won 8 ATP titles in a total of 23 finals and participated in 4 ATP Masters 1000 finals.
