The Vietnam Volleyball Federation has just announced that the Southeast Asian Volleyball Federation has decided to officially change the name of the SEA V.League Volleyball Tournament to the SEA V.Cup Volleyball Tournament.
The new name SEA V.Cup applies from 2026 to the men's and women's events.
This year, the first leg of the women's category of the SEA V.Cup 2026 takes place in Dong Anh (Hanoi) from July 31 to August 2.
The second leg will continue to be held in Chiangmai (Thailand) from August 7 to September 8.
According to Lao Dong reporters' investigation, the local organizing committee in Dong Anh (Hanoi) decided to issue tickets with 2 denominations of 150,000 VND/ticket, 200,000 VND/ticket to serve audiences coming to the stadium to watch live.
Each ticket will be valid for 1 session, spectators can watch 2 matches. Tickets start selling from July 15.
The number of tickets with a face value of 200,000 VND is only issued in limited quantities, according to VIP seats.
Last year, Dong Anh Gymnasium (Hanoi) was the venue for the AVC Cup 2026 for women's events, and the Vietnamese women's volleyball team won the championship cup.
Also last year, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team won the 2nd leg of the SEA V.League 2025.
At that time, the tournament took place at the Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Center. In the first leg of the SEA V.League 2025, the Thai team won the championship.
The women's content of the SEA V.Cup 2026 will have 4 participating teams including Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia. The teams will compete in a round-robin format to calculate points and consider overall rankings.
