VFF promotes cooperation in developing young football with La Liga

Chairman of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) received La Liga representative, promoted cooperation in developing young football and training coaches.

Today (15.4), at VFF headquarters, VFF President - Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan had a meeting and exchanged with Mr. Ivan Codina - Chief Representative of La Liga in Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. Attending were Mr. Pablo Casaos - representative of Laliga in Vietnam and Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Deputy Secretary of VFF.

At the meeting, Mr. Ivan Codina shared the plan to continue the effective implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) promoting cooperation with VFF (signing on 6.9.2023 and effective until June June).

The representative of La Liga expects to expand the young football training system in Vietnam, following the success of La Liga Vietnam Football Academy in Ho Chi Minh City. The La Liga side wants to promote the plan to set up 1-2 more institutes in the North, in order to enhance the opportunity to access high quality football for young talents.

In addition, the two sides have initially agreed on cooperation orientations to 2026. The focus includes the development of young football, improving the quality of training, organizing training and practice programs for coaches working at professional football clubs in Vietnam.

At the meeting, VFF President and La Liga representatives agreed to coordinate the effective implementation of Mou to develop Vietnamese football in a professional and sustainable way.
