VFF Deputy Referee Board disciplined for violating regulations in the test

Deputy Referee of the Vietnam Football Federation - Vo Quang Vinh received a penalty for violating regulations during the examination process.

Recently, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) term IX agreed to dismiss Deputy Referee Vo Quang Vinh. The cause stemmed from Mr. Vo Quang Vinh's violations during the physical testing of FIFA female referees.

According to the regulations, female referees including Ms. Tran Thi Thanh, Ms. Le Thi Ly and Ms. Bui Thi Thu Trang must run at a speed of 6 times for a distance of 40m (6x40m). However, Mr. Vinh only allowed the referees to run 4 times, which is 4x40m.

This is considered a serious violation of the work of inspection and management of referees. The above incident is also determined to affect the reputation of VFF.

Therefore, the Executive Committee proposed that the Disciplinary Board consider the level of discipline for Mr. Vo Quang Vinh in the coming time. At the same time, VFF also received many proposals from clubs about replacing Mr. Vo Quang Vinh as Deputy Referee.

According to VFF Standing Committee, the person replacing the positions in the Referee Board must have good professional qualifications, and not make mistakes or get involved in negative things in the past. Through the above criteria, VFF will find a suitable person.

Mr. Vo Quang Vinh was born in 1975 and is a veteran referee of Vietnamese football. In addition to the FIFA referee title, Mr. Vinh won the "Vietnam Golden Rooster" for two consecutive seasons in 2011 and 2012. In 2023, Mr. Vinh was elected Deputy Head of the Referee Board.
