Accordingly, the AFC 37 Ho Tram Showdown event, the first event in 2025 of AFC, will officially take place at The Grand Ho Tram Strip resort (Ba Ria - Vung Tau).
The event was organized by Cocky Buffalo - a martial arts training company and professional martial arts event organizer in Vietnam - in coordination with AFC, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, The Grand Ho Tram Strip and was exclusively broadcast on VTVcab.
At AFC 37, there will be 7 matches, gathering 14 fighters from many countries and territories with developed martial arts such as China, Korea, Brazil, Russia... In which, there will be 2 host representatives of Vietnam competing.
In the 65.8kg weight class, Quang Van Minh will compete with Park Yeong-jun of Korea. Boxer Park is 23 years old this year, 1m80 tall, has a long arm and is good at standing. Quang Van Minh, born in 1999, is one of the top fighters in the 65kg weight class at the No. 1 MMA arena in Vietnam LION Championship.
Van Minh made a strong impression with his outstanding standing hitter Muay Thai. His most memorable victory was the knockout of German fighter Mirko Maurice Horn at LION Championship 13 in May 2024. With experience and skillful techniques, the competition between Van Minh and Park Yeong-jun promises to be very exciting.
The remaining representative of Vietnam, Le Van Tuan, will compete with Chinese boxer Mao Xiao Fu in the 56.7kg weight class. Van Tuan is also a boxer who impressed at LION Championship with a dramatic competition, almost knocking out "the only winner" Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat. The challenge for Van Tuan at AFC 37 is not small when Mao Xiao Fu (28 years) is 3 years younger than him, in good form with 4 wins in 5 matches on the stage.
