Vietnamese sports have won 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal in wushu at the 2025 World Games.
Late on August 12 local time, martial artist Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy competed in the women's 60kg weightlifting final but lost to opponent Zhiqin Li (China) with a score of 0-2.
Our female player won the silver medal. This is Thu Thuy's first time participating in the World Games but she has made efforts to reach the finals of her event.
In the final match of the men's 56kg weight class, boxer Do Huy Hoang lost to Sishuo Tang (China) so he received a silver medal.
In addition, we have boxer Ngo Thi Phuong Nga winning the bronze medal in the women's 52kg weight class. The Vietnamese wushu team has had 6 athletes win tickets to the 2025 World Games.
As of August 12, Vietnamese sports have completed their muay and wushu competitions. We are still competing in the next events at the 2025 World Games. Vietnam Sports did not establish a team to compete in this Congress and each team participated in its own competition schedule.
The 2025 World Games will be held in Chengdu (China) from August 7 to August 17. The competition program has 256 events for 34 sports.
Vietnam only participated in seven events including muay, women's beach hurling, wushu, kickboxing, iron billiards, billiards, aerobics and strived to win gold medals.
