According to regulations, the super blitz chess content will select 2 male chess players and 2 female chess players with the best achievements after 8 group stage matches to award a final match spot.
In the men's blitz chess event, after 8 group stage matches, 2 chess players Vu Quoc Dat (HCMC) and Nguyen Thanh Bao (Dong Nai) led and met in the final.
In 8 matches played, Vu Quoc Dat won 6.5 points. In the 4th game, this player defeated Lai Ly Huynh (HCMC). Meanwhile, player Nguyen Thanh Bao has 7 points after 8 matches of the group stage.
In the final match, Vu Quoc Dat defeated Nguyen Thanh Bao to win a gold medal in the men's blitz chess event. Thus, Vu Quoc Dat successively surpassed Lai Ly Huynh and Nguyen Thanh Bao to win the blitz chess championship this year.
In the blitz chess event, player Lai Ly Huynh only ranked 10th. A day earlier, Lai Ly Huynh won a Gold Medal in the rapid chess event. This is the only Gold Medal of Lai Ly Huynh at the National Chess Championship 2026.
In the women's blitz chess event, chess player Dam Thi Thuy Dung (HCMC) defeated Le Thi Kim Loan (Hanoi) in the final to win a gold medal.
The results of the 2026 National Chess Tournament are not counted in the X-2026 National Sports Games.
