On the morning of July 4, although Bui Vien pedestrian street (Ben Thanh ward, Ho Chi Minh City) had just closed a vibrant night, many shops and cafes still served international tourists watching the matches of the 2026 World Cup knockout round.
The atmosphere on the street became different when music was replaced by sound from live television screens. According to records, many shops on Bui Vien street arranged dense screens to meet the needs of fans. Many tourists chose to come early to reserve seats, while some passersby also stopped to watch, causing the football viewing space to stretch from inside the shop to the sidewalk.

At some business locations, the number of foreign visitors accounts for the majority. Many people wear jerseys of their favorite teams, carry flags and cheering accessories. Although they come from many different countries, they still easily blend into the common atmosphere, chat, share emotions and interact with Vietnamese fans.

Mr. Ariel, a tourist from the US, said that this is the first time he has watched the World Cup in Vietnam after more than a week of traveling. According to him, the experience of sitting on the street, enjoying coffee and immersing yourself in the cheering atmosphere with local people brings a very special feeling.
Meanwhile, Dennis and Cathy, two tourists from Egypt, said they stayed up all night to watch the matches. After finishing the first match, both continued to stay at Bui Vien to watch the next match, considering this an interesting part of the journey to explore Ho Chi Minh City.
A representative of a restaurant specializing in serving sports viewers said that during the World Cup days, the number of international and Vietnamese visitors has increased significantly, especially during the early morning match hours. Many tourists have returned continuously in recent days to watch matches and enjoy the football atmosphere on Bui Vien street.

Watching matches together in the morning not only brings entertainment experiences to tourists but also contributes to creating a vibrant image of Bui Vien pedestrian street, a familiar destination for international visitors every time they set foot in Ho Chi Minh City.
