The Chinese youth team previously impressed when they defeated host U17 Saudi Arabia with a score of 3-1 to advance deep in this year's tournament for the first time.
Meanwhile, the remaining semi-final pair is considered evenly matched between U17 Japan and defending champion U17 Uzbekistan. In the quarterfinals, U17 Japan defeated U17 Tajikistan 5-0, while U17 Uzbekistan drew 2-2 with U17 Korea before winning 5-3 in the penalty shootout.
According to the schedule, the semi-final match between U17 Japan and U17 Uzbekistan takes place at 10:00 PM on May 19 (Vietnam time). The remaining match between U17 Australia and U17 China takes place at 1:30 AM on May 20.
Both semi-finals will be held at King Abdullah Stadium in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). The two winning teams will meet in the final on May 23, while the two losing teams will receive third place.
