On the afternoon of November 16, the relegation round of the 2024 National Volleyball Championship concluded its second round. Vietinbank won 3-0 against Thai Binh (25-20, 26-24, 25-23), thereby ensuring their relegation with 12 points.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team played confidently and courageously against evenly matched opponents to bring home 3 absolute points.
Despite the loss, Thai Binh will still continue to stay in the top-tier tournament next year, because in the remaining match, Quang Ninh won a narrow 3-2 victory over Hanoi (25-18, 18-25, 25-17, 23-25, 15-11). This result closed the door to relegation for the mining team.
Thus, Quang Ninh and Hanoi will be relegated to the A league next year. The final round of the relegation round taking place tomorrow (November 17) will be just a formality.
