At 6:50 PM on June 12, 2026, Vietnam time, WTI oil price was at 84.91 USD/barrel, down 2.80 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 3.19%. Brent oil was at 87.67 USD/barrel, down 2.71 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 3%.
Oil prices fell more than 3% on Friday, to a nearly two-month low after US President Donald Trump canceled new attacks on Iran, reducing concerns about escalating tensions after tit-for-tat attacks earlier this week.
Previously, Mr. Trump unexpectedly canceled the airstrike plan against Iran scheduled to take place on the evening of June 11, citing that negotiations between the two sides were progressing. For many weeks, Mr. Trump has continuously reassured the market that an agreement with Iran is approaching. However, every time this happens, military tensions between the two countries escalate again.
The world gasoline and oil market in today's operating period is influenced by key factors such as: the prolonged developments of negotiations to end the conflict between the US and Iran; increased tensions in the Middle East as the US and Iran continue to attack each other, Iran and Israel attack each other but then declare an end; the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues... The above factors have caused world gasoline and oil product prices in recent days to increase and decrease depending on each item.
Selling prices of popular consumer gasoline and oil items on the market on June 12 are as follows:
- E5 RON92 gasoline: not higher than 21,332 VND/liter (down 452 VND/liter compared to the current maximum selling price);
