Update on gasoline and oil prices on July 6: World oil prices simultaneously decreased in the first trading session of the week.

WTI oil price is at 68.50 USD/barrel, down 0.19 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.28%. Brent oil is at 71.94 USD/barrel, down 0.18 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.25%.

World oil prices in the first trading session of the week simultaneously decreased due to pressure from OPEC+ continuing to increase production from August 2026, increasing global supply in the near future. OPEC+'s increase in quotas by 188,000 barrels/day from August is assessed to be in line with expectations. However, many OPEC+ members have not yet reached quotas due to the prolonged impact of the conflict in the Middle East.

In the last trading session of last week, world oil prices mainly moved sideways, the market continued to monitor the prospects of Middle East supply.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world gasoline and oil market in this operating period is affected by key factors such as: Appearing retaliatory attacks between the US and Iran; positive signs in negotiations between the US and Iran; OPEC+ has the potential to increase oil production from August; military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, focusing heavily on each other's oil and gas facilities... The above factors have caused world finished gasoline and oil prices in recent days to increase and decrease depending on each item.
