Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has just signed Decision No. 1186/QD-TTg approving the Executive Council of the International Financial Center in Vietnam (Council).
According to the decision, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang is the Chairman of the Council.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Council is Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc.
The Vice Chairmen of the Council include: Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Pham Duc An; Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc; Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Hung.
The Council members include: Deputy Minister of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc; Deputy Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung; Deputy Minister of Justice Nguyen Thanh Tinh; Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Truong Hai Long; Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan; Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Dang Ngoc Diep; Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Pham Duc Long; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang; Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Quan; Deputy Chairman of the Government Office Mai Thi Thu Van.
According to the Decision, the Council has the function and task of directing and coordinating the unified construction, operation and development of the International Financial Center in Vietnam and performing the tasks and powers specified in Clause 2, Article 9 of Decree No. 323/2025/ND-CP of the Government on the establishment of the International Financial Center.
At the same time, directing the orientation and building of institutions and policies applied at the International Financial Center to be unified, focused, and consistent; ensuring independence, professionalism, transparency, safety, efficiency and compliance with international practices in building, operating and developing the International Financial Center.
Promulgate strategies, roadmaps, and plans to develop the International Financial Center based on the conditions, potentials and development needs in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang City.
