According to a survey at 9:32 a.m. on August 13 (Vietnam time), WTI oil prices decreased by 0.16 USD/barrel (down 0.25%), down to 63.01 USD/barrel. Brent oil price decreased by 0.08 USD/barrel (down 0.12%), down to 66.04 USD/barrel.
Forecasting domestic gasoline prices, Mr. Doan Tien Quyet - data analysis expert of VPI - said that retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline may decrease by VND451 (2.3%) to VND19,149/liter, while RON 95-III gasoline may decrease by VND403 (2%) to VND19,667/liter.
VPI's model also predicts that retail oil prices will decrease in this period, specifically, diesel may decrease by 4% to VND18,046/liter, kerosene may decrease by 3.9% to VND17,929/liter, and mazut may decrease by 2.3% to VND15,280/kg.
VPI forecasts that the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade will continue not to set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund this period.
According to the forecast of a representative of a petroleum business, in the upcoming price management session - RON 95 - III gasoline price decreased by about 400-500 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline decreased by about 400-500 VND/liter; Diesel oil decreased by about 650-750 VND/liter.
In the adjustment session on August 7, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased compared to the previous adjustment period, priced at VND 19,401/liter (up VND 122/liter). RON 95-III gasoline price increased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND19,840/liter (up VND131/liter).
Prices of oil products fluctuated in different directions. Of which, diesel 0.05S is priced at VND19,568/liter (down VND61/liter); kerosene has a new price of VND18,714/liter (up VND86/liter); mazut is priced at VND15,533/kg (up VND154/kg).
