Oil prices fell in the trading session on Friday, hitting a three-week low. According to experts, market sentiment is affected by negative economic signals, along with concerns about continued supply increases.
However, the decline was somewhat curbed by expectations that US trade deals will contribute to boosting global economic growth and improving oil consumption demand in the coming time.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world petroleum market last week (from July 17, 2025 to July 23, 2025) was affected by main factors such as: Updated information on the new import tax policy of the US on goods of trading partners; EU announces new sanctions package for Russian oil; The military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues... The above factors have caused world petroleum prices in recent days to fluctuate up and down depending on each commodity.
For the domestic market, representing a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may decrease slightly. The decrease is about 100 VND/liter.
Domestic retail gasoline prices on July 27, 2025 will be applied according to the adjustment session from 3:00 p.m. on July 24 of the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In the adjustment session on July 24, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND19,279/liter (down VND202/liter). RON 95-III gasoline price decreased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND19,269/liter (down VND216/liter).
Prices of oil products fluctuated in different directions. Of which, diesel 0.05S is priced at VND19,129/liter (up VND330/liter); kerosene has a new price of VND18,628/liter (up VND199/liter); mazut is priced at VND15,379/kg (down VND99/kg).
