Coffee judgments and forecasts
The world coffee market today is quiet, when investors keep their psychological caution after the US announced the lowering of import tax. On the other hand, concerns about global demand decreased, plus the pressure from the commodity market in general, continuing to make coffee prices unable to break out.
However, the price of Robusta maintained around US $ 5,000/ton is considered a positive signal, supporting the psychological retention of Vietnamese farmers, especially in the context of tightening supply and Robusta inventory in the lowest exchanges in the past 3 and a half weeks.
Coffee prices may fluctuate in short -term narrow amplitude when the market needs more clear signals from trade talks between the US and partners. If the negotiations achieve positive progress, especially without new tariff measures, coffee prices may recover again.
In addition, the weather factors in Brazil and the Robusta harvesting situation in Vietnam will also be an important factor that dominates the price of coffee in the near future. Many forecasts that, in the second quarter of 2025, coffee prices may receive good support if the supply continues to be tightened.
