Domestic coffee prices
On September 16, the domestic coffee market recorded an increase again. The average coffee price in the entire Central Highlands region increased sharply by VND 2,700/kg, to VND 122,700/kg.
In Dak Lak and Lam Dong, the price increased by VND 2,600 - VND 2,700/kg, reaching VND 122,200/kg and VND 122,700/kg respectively.

After a slight decrease, domestic coffee prices reversed and increased sharply, anchoring at a high level. Compared to the end of August, when the average coffee price was only about 109,000 VND/kg, the current price of 122,700 VND/kg has increased by nearly 14,000 VND/kg.
World coffee prices
On the London Stock Exchange ( Robusta): the contract for the November 2025 term increased by 241 USD, reaching 4,842 USD/ton. Longer terms continued to increase from 225 - 247 USD, fluctuating around 4,662 - 5,042 USD/ton.
On the New York Stock Exchange ( Arabica): Similarly, Arabica coffee prices at December 2025 futures stood at 417.65 US cents/lb. The fluctuations in the session also showed the market's excitement, with the highest being 432.35 US cents/lb and the lowest being 373.50 US cents/lb.
The main reason for the strong increase in the coffee market is the lack of rain in coffee growing areas in Brazil before the important flowering period of coffee trees, causing prices to increase sharply.
The strength of the Brazilian real also supported coffee prices when it increased to a 15-month high against the USD.
In addition, concerns about coffee supply in the US due to the impact of tariffs have also contributed to pushing up prices. Buyers are canceling new contracts to buy coffee from Brazil due to the 50% tax on imports from Brazil, causing supply in the US to tighten, while about a third of the US unroasted green coffee output comes from Brazil.
