World coffee prices
At the end of the trading session on September 25, coffee prices on both international exchanges increased and decreased in opposite directions.
Robusta price ( London): The contract in November 2025 decreased sharply by 125 USD/ton, equivalent to 2.96%, to 4,094 USD/ton.
Arabica price (New York): In contrast to Robusta, Arabica maintained an increase of 0.9.6 cents/lb. The December 2025 contract continued to increase by 3.6 US cents/lb to 371.35 US cents/lb.
Assessment and forecast
Coffee prices fluctuated as Robusta coffee fell sharply to a 6-week low. The limited supply of coffee is still a factor supporting coffee prices. However, Typhoon Ragasa has not affected Vietnam's coffee growing areas, reducing concerns about strong winds and heavy rains that could harm the country's coffee crop.
The 50% tax imposed on coffee imports from Brazil to the US has caused a sharp decrease in Arabica coffee inventories, which is also a factor driving coffee prices.
Meanwhile, the bumper Robusta coffee crop in Vietnam has put downward pressure on prices. Vietnam's coffee output in the 2025/26 crop year is expected to increase by 6% over the same period, reaching 1.76 million tons, equivalent to 29.4 million bags, the highest level in 4 years. In addition, the General Statistics Office of Vietnam informed that Vietnam's coffee exports in the first 8 months of 2025 increased by 7.8% compared to the same period last year, reaching 1.141 million tons. Vietnam is the world's largest producer of Robusta coffee.
