In the Northern region, Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Hanoi and Dien Bien provinces are recording the highest live pig prices in the region, reaching 76,000 VND/kg. In the opposite direction, Lai Chau is the locality with the lowest price, at 74,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces and cities in the region maintain popular prices around the threshold of 75,000 VND/kg.
In the Central region, the highest live pig price in the region is currently at 75,000 VND/kg, recorded in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai and Khanh Hoa. Meanwhile, Dak Lak is the only locality with a lower price, at 73,000 VND/kg.
In the Southern region, traders are buying live pigs in the range of 72,000 - 75,000 VND/kg. A weekend morning survey shows the highest price in the region, 75,000 VND/kg, appearing in Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City. Followed by Dong Thap with a price of 74,000 VND/kg. In many other provinces and cities, live pigs are being traded commonly at 72,000 VND/kg.
