Domestic pepper prices: Continue to decline
As of 11:30 today (September 12), the domestic pepper market has decreased in price in all regions, an average of 149,600 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 148,000 - 151,000 VND/kg.
Compared to yesterday's trading price, the regions have decreased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently listing the prices as follows:
Ho Chi Minh City, Dak Lak and Lam Dong fell 1,000 VND/kg compared to the previous session, respectively holding the mark of 151,000 VND/kg and 152,000 VND/kg.
Dong Nai province alone remains unchanged, maintaining the price at 148,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, Gia Lai decreased by VND 1,000/kg, the region recorded the lowest price in the country at VND 148,000/kg.
World pepper prices: Continuously reversing
In the world market, pepper prices have fluctuated continuously in different regions over the past week. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets is no exception. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,074 - 10,024 USD/ton (equivalent to 187,334 VND/kg - 265,456 VND/kg).
On the other hand, the Brazilian market remained unchanged, currently trading at 6,500 USD/ton (about 172,133 VND/kg). Similarly, Malaysia's black and white pepper prices remained in the high price range, reaching 12,900 USD/ton and 9,700 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, after a series of stagnant days, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is anchored at 6,600 - 6,800 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices after the day increased by 1.08%, currently standing at 9,250 USD/ton (equivalent to 244,959 VND/kg).
