Domestic pepper prices: flat trend
As of 11am today (September 10), the domestic pepper market has remained largely unchanged in the regions, averaging 151,600 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 150,000 - 153,000 VND/kg.
Gia Lai province remained unchanged from the previous session, currently the area recording the lowest price in the country, reaching 150,000 VND/kg. Dong Nai is the only province to decrease by VND 1,000/kg, bringing the price to VND 150,000/kg.
Ho Chi Minh City, Dak Lak and Lam Dong are the 3 areas that stood still after the price increase, respectively anchored at 152,000 VND/kg and 153,000 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Unstable in all regions
In the world market, pepper prices are stable in the regions. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets is no exception. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,087 - 10,042 USD/ton (equivalent to 187,678 VND/kg - 265,933 VND/kg).
The Brazilian market after a decrease of 0.76%, is currently trading at 6,600 USD/ton (about 174,782 VND/kg). Similarly, Malaysia's black and white pepper prices remained in the high price range, reaching 12,900 USD/ton and 9,700 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l remains unchanged, anchored at 6,240 - 6,370 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices tend to be flat, standing at 9,150 USD/ton (equivalent to 242,311 VND/kg).
