Domestic pepper prices: All decrease
As of 12:30 today (September 11), the domestic pepper market has decreased in price in all regions, an average of 150,400 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 148,000 - 152,000 VND/kg.
Compared to yesterday's trading price, the regions listed the prices as follows:
Dong Nai decreased the most by VND 2,000/kg, bringing the price to VND 148,000/kg. Gia Lai province, once the area with the lowest price recorded in the country, also decreased by VND 1,000/kg, reaching VND 149,000/kg.
Ho Chi Minh City also decreased by VND 1,000/kg, bringing to the market a price of VND 151,000/kg. Dak Lak and Lam Dong fell 1,000 VND/kg compared to the previous session, both holding the 152,000 VND/kg mark.
World pepper prices: Green
In the world market, pepper prices have changed in a positive direction in the regions. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets is no exception. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,079 - 10,031 USD/ton (equivalent to 187,467 VND/kg - 265,641 VND/kg).
On the other hand, the Brazilian market remained unchanged, currently trading at 6,500 USD/ton (about 172,133 VND/kg). Similarly, Malaysia's black and white pepper prices remained in the high price range, reaching 12,900 USD/ton and 9,700 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, after a period of stagnation, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l increased by 5.45% and 6.32%, anchored at 6,600 - 6,800 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices also increased by 1.08%, standing at 9,250 USD/ton (equivalent to 244,959 VND/kg).
