Domestic pepper prices
As of 11:30 AM today (June 13), domestic pepper prices maintained a stable pace after a simultaneous surge, averaging 139,500 VND/kg. Currently, key areas are trading in the range of 138,500 - 140,500 VND/kg.
Domestic pepper prices are maintained stably in all regions, currently provinces and cities list prices as follows:
Gia Lai and Dong Nai provinces are trading at the mark of 138. 500 VND/kg. This is the lowest price of domestic pepper offered to the market.
Ho Chi Minh City is anchored at the price threshold of 139,500 VND/kg.
Dak Lak and Lam Dong offered for sale at the highest purchase price of 140,500 VND/kg, standing still compared to the previous session.
World pepper price
In the world market, pepper prices are mostly unchanged in some countries. Especially black and white peppers in Indonesia reversed to decrease in price, trading in the range of 7, 137 - 9, 211 USD/ton (equivalent to 188, 503 VND/kg - 243, 281 VND/kg), increasing by 24 USD/ton and 31 USD/ton respectively.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian market is holding at 5,950 USD/ton (about 157.152 VND/kg). Notably, black and white Malaysian peppers are still trading at high prices, respectively 12,250 USD/ton and 9,350 USD/ton.
In Vietnam's pepper export market, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l remains at 6,100 - 6,200 USD/ton. In the same direction, ASTA white pepper is offered for sale at 9,000 USD/ton (equivalent to 237,708 VND/kg).

Assessments and forecasts
The increase of 500 VND/kg in yesterday's trading session shows that market sentiment has been more positive compared to previous sideways sessions. Although the increase is still modest, this development still creates expectations about the possibility that pepper prices will continue to maintain a high foundation in the short term.
In case export purchasing power improves, domestic pepper prices may continue to be supported in the coming time. According to experts, in the short term, domestic pepper prices may fluctuate around the region of 138. 500 - 140. 500 VND/kg. The current price level is still assessed as relatively high, especially in the context of limited supply.
