Domestic pepper prices: Dong Nai unexpectedly increases
As of 12:30 today (October 16), the domestic pepper market is unchanged in all regions, averaging VND 146,100/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 144,500 - 147,000 VND/kg.
The regions maintained stable prices compared to the previous session, except for Dong Nai province, which increased by VND 1,000/kg, to the market at VND 146,000/kg.
Gia Lai province today listed 145,500 VND/kg. This is still the lowest price in the region.
Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai maintain trading levels at VND145,000/kg and VND146,000/kg respectively.
Lam Dong and Dak Lak set the price of 147,000 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Unexpected decrease in many areas
In the world market, pepper prices fluctuated in many regions. In particular, the Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets in the opposite direction of the estate. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,234 - 10,093 USD/ton (equivalent to 190,754 VND/kg - 266,143 VND/kg).
On the other hand, the Brazilian market, after a deep price drop of 1.64%, is currently at 6,100 USD/ton (about 160,851 VND/kg). In the same direction, black and white pepper were stable, trading at 12,500 USD/ton and 9,500 USD/ton, respectively.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l suddenly plummeted by 3.03% - 3.13%, anchored at 6,400 - 6,600 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices remain high, currently standing at 9,050 USD/ton (equivalent to 238,640 VND/kg).
