Assessment and forecast
Looking back at last week, in the latest report of the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), according to data from the Vietnam Customs Department, in September 2025, Vietnam's pepper exports reached 20,405 tons, worth 136 million USD, down 4.9% in volume and down 3.1% in value compared to the previous month, but compared to September 2024, they increased by 19.3% in volume and increased by 23.2% in value.
Regarding the market, in September, Vietnam's pepper exports to most major markets decreased compared to the previous month, except for exports to the US, the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates increased.
Although Vietnam's pepper exports to the US have decreased in recent times, this may be a temporary result during the market adjustment period due to the new tax policy.
Vietnam's tax rate advantage is lower than Brazil, India..., along with stable supply capacity as a basis for expecting that Vietnamese pepper exports to the US will recover in the coming time.
