Domestic pepper prices
As of 11:30 AM today (July 17), domestic pepper prices reversed to decrease, listed at 138,400 VND/kg. Currently, key areas are trading in the range of 137,000 - 140,500 VND/kg.
Domestic pepper prices have a downward trading session after a stagnant day. Currently, provinces and cities list prices as follows:
Gia Lai and Dong Nai simultaneously listed at 137,000 VND/kg, down 500 VND/kg and 1,000 VND/kg respectively.
In the same direction, Ho Chi Minh City anchored at the threshold of 137,500 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg.
Similarly, Lam Dong and Dak Lak offered for sale at the highest purchase price in the whole region in the range of 140,000 - 140,500 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg.
World pepper price
In the world market, pepper prices are stable in all countries. Indonesian black pepper and white pepper are no exception, trading in the range of 7,079 - 9,198 USD/ton (equivalent to 187,240 VND/kg - 243,288 VND/kg).
Meanwhile, the price of black pepper in Brazil remained unchanged at the market selling price of 5,900 USD/ton (about 156,055 VND/kg). Notably, black and white pepper in Malaysia are still trading at high prices, respectively 12,250 USD/ton and 9,350 USD/ton.
In Vietnam's pepper export market, the price of black peppers of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is currently at 5,850 - 5,950 USD/ton. In the same direction, ASTA white pepper is offered for sale at 8,200 USD/ton (equivalent to 216,890 VND/kg).

Assessments and forecasts
After days of high prices, domestic pepper prices have slightly adjusted in a downward trend. According to the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the average export price of Vietnamese pepper in June 2026 reached 6,659 USD/ton, a slight increase of 0.2% compared to May 2026, but down 1.5% compared to June 2025. In general, in the first 6 months of 2026, the average export price reached 6,508 USD/ton, down 5.4% compared to the same period in 2025.
Regarding the market, Vietnam's pepper exports in June 2026 to many markets recorded positive growth compared to the same period last year such as: USA, Germany, India, Netherlands,... Conversely, exports to the markets of Thailand, Egypt, Philippines and Pakistan decreased compared to the same period last year.
