Domestic pepper prices: Prices drop in some areas
As of 11:30 today (September 18), the domestic pepper market reversed and decreased after a day of stagnation. Currently, the price of pepper is recorded at 137,000 - 140,000 VND/kg.
List the price at 137,000 VND/kg as Gia Lai province, down 1,000 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City are moving in a downward trend, anchored at VND138,000/kg, down VND1,000/kg.
Meanwhile, Dak Lak and Lam Dong province stood at 140,000 VND/kg. These are the 2 provinces listing the highest domestic pepper prices in the country.
World pepper prices: Mixed developments
In the world market, pepper prices are stable in most regions. In particular, the Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - appreciated. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,204 - 10,041 USD/ton (equivalent to 189,682 VND/kg - 264,380 VND/kg).
The Brazilian exchange remains stable, this region is currently at 5,750 USD/ton (about 151,398 VND/kg). Meanwhile, Malaysia's black and white pepper remained at 11,750 USD/ton and 8,900 USD/ton.
In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is stable, currently anchored at 6,440 - 6,570 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices reached 9,150 USD/ton (equivalent to 240,920 VND/kg).
