Domestic pepper prices: Stable in many areas
As of 11:30 today (September 27), the domestic pepper market continues to remain unchanged, at an average of 149,000 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 148,000 - 150,000 VND/kg.
The domestic market had a quiet trading week, currently the listed areas are as follows:
Dong Nai and Gia Lai provinces are still purchasing at 148,000 VND/kg today. However, this is also the lowest price in the country.
In the same direction, Ho Chi Minh City, Dak Lak, Lam Dong kept the price zone unchanged, trading around 149,000 - 150,000 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Indonesia continues to decline
In the world market, pepper prices are mostly stable in the regions. In particular, the Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - maintained a decrease of 0.43% and 0.44%. Currently, these two items are traded between 6,954 - 9,854 USD/ton (equivalent to 183,934 VND/kg - 260,639 VND/kg).
On the other hand, the Brazilian market held 6,500 USD/ton (about 171,925 VND/kg). In the same direction, Malaysia's black and white pepper traded at high prices, reaching 12,900 USD/ton and 9,700 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is stable, anchored at 6,600 - 6,800 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices remain high, currently standing at 9,250 USD/ton (equivalent to 244,663 VND/kg).
