Domestic pepper prices: Unexpected price increase
As of 11:30 today (September 24), the domestic pepper market increased again in some areas, averaging 149,000 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 148,000 - 150,000 VND/kg.
After many days of stagnation, the domestic market has witnessed green, currently the listed areas are as follows:
Raising the price to 1,000 VND/kg, Dong Nai and Gia Lai provinces today purchased at 148,000 VND/kg. However, this is still the lowest price in the country.
Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City, Dak Lak, Lam Dong kept the price zone unchanged, trading around 149,000 - 150,000 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Mixed developments
In the world market, pepper prices are mostly stable in the regions. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets continues to maintain stability. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,027 - 9,957 USD/ton (equivalent to 185,851 VND/kg - 263,343 VND/kg).
On the other hand, the Brazilian market lost the threshold of 6,600 USD/ton when it decreased by 1.54% to 6,500 USD/ton (about 171,912 VND/kg). Meanwhile, Malaysia's black and white pepper traded at high prices, reaching 12,900 USD/ton and 9,700 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is stable, anchored at 6,600 - 6,800 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices remain high, currently standing at 9,250 USD/ton (equivalent to 244,644 VND/kg).
