Domestic pepper prices: Market fluctuates slightly
As of 11:30 today (September 23), the domestic pepper market fluctuated in some areas, averaging 148,600 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 147,000 - 150,000 VND/kg.
Mixed transaction prices, currently listed areas are as follows:
The same mark of 147,000 VND/kg was set by Dong Nai and Gia Lai provinces. This is also the lowest price in the country.
Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City increased by VND 1,000/kg, anchored at the same level as Lam Dong province at VND 150,000/kg.
Dak Nong alone recorded a price decrease of VND 1,000/kg, down to VND 149,000/kg.
Compared to the average price set at the same time in July 2025 of 137,400 VND/kg, the domestic pepper purchase price continued to increase by 11,200 VND/kg, reaching 148,600 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Unstable daily supply
In the world market, pepper prices are mostly stable in the regions. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - has remained unchanged after many consecutive days of decline. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,027 - 9,957 USD/ton (equivalent to 185,851 VND/kg - 263,343 VND/kg).
Similarly, the Brazilian market maintained the threshold of 6,600 USD/ton (about 174,557 VND/kg). In the same direction, Malaysia's black and white pepper traded at high prices, reaching 12,900 USD/ton and 9,700 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is stable, anchored at 6,600 - 6,800 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices remain high, currently standing at 9,250 USD/ton (equivalent to 244,644 VND/kg).
