Assessment and forecast
According to data from Vietnam Customs, in the first half of November 2025, businesses continued to export more than 8,203 tons of pepper, earning nearly 52.85 million USD. As of November 15, 2025, our country has exported about 213,432 tons of pepper of all kinds, worth more than 1.44 billion USD.
This is considered an important milestone for the pepper industry, especially at a time when supply is still under pressure due to drought and unseasonal rain occurring in many growing areas.
The Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA) believes that the US tax exemption is a favorable opportunity for Vietnam to regain market share. However, businesses that want to increase exports still need to fully meet import standards, requirements on quality, certification, food safety and US customs regulations. In addition, normal import taxes are still applied, so units must continue to strictly comply to maintain a presence in this market.
