On the morning of November 28, Lien Huong Port Border Guard Station (Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard Command) said that it is still coordinating with other forces to search for a fisherman missing at sea.

Previously, Mr. H.V (33 years old) and Mr. D.Q.S (40 years old, both living in Lien Huong commune) rowed a basket to the Lien Huong port gate area to pick up the sunken anchor.
The big waves overturned the basket, causing Mr. S to sink and go missing. Mr. V swam to shore safely.
After receiving the news, the authorities mobilized vehicles and fishermen to search for the victim. However, due to big waves and darkness, the search was difficult.
Mr. Nguyen Truong Sa - Chairman of the People's Committee of Lien Huong Commune (Lam Dong Province) said that since the afternoon of November 27, big waves have hit the sea dyke and houses along the dyke, causing the section passing through village 14 to be flooded more than 1 meter in some places. The locality has mobilized forces to evacuate many households to safe places.

The manholes on the embankment to drain water into the sea were hit by waves and buried with sand, preventing water from draining. On the morning of November 28, the locality had to survey and handle, and clear these holes.
